Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin of the singer Dionne. In her early years she was a singer in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. When she reached the age of 15years old, Houston was singing professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother for Chaka Khan's 1978 song Im Every Woman. In 1981, she briefly did a stint as a fashion model, and was featured on the Seventeen cover. She also performed backing vocals to Lou Rawls and Jermaine. She started as a featured singer for The New York-based New York Funk band Material. Her vocal quality work earned her the attention of major record label Arista which she joined in 1983. The debut Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It was one of the most successful album by a musician. It featured a number of hits including How Will I know You're Good to Me, Saving All My Love For you and The greatest Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping singles consecutively which was more than the Beatles. The album was sold to three million people in during its initial year, as well as 25 million around the world. The album won her first six Grammys. The album Whitney was released in 1987 and featuring the popular tracks What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, continued her earlier success. But it was The Bodyguard (1996) that established her as one of the best-selling albums in pop music. Although her performance in the film and soundtrack was not well-received, the Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as The Bodyguard album that accompanied it topped charts around the globe for months. It was also in 1993 that she was married to Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist who gave the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. In 1996 her daily drug usage was well documented.

Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she is more commonly known, is an American anchorwoman reporter as well as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent. She has been the producer of shows on the network such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'.
