Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number came out in 1994. It was Gold at the age of fifteen years old. The collaboration that influential to R. Kelly's musical style, put her in the limelight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland in her second studio album One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit single If Your Girl Knew. Aaliyah's sophomore album, One in a Million came out in the year 1996. It contained the number-one hit single"If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah appeared alongside famous martial artist Jet-Li Romeo Must Die (2000) the action and romance film. Joel Silver, the film producer, met her at the awards ceremony and kindly offered the role. The film she was in was the Anne Rice-based vampire film Queen of the Damned, which was released in 2002. She also was in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. She was awarded four Grammy nominations between 1999 and 2003. She is also known as Aarti Magumdar. Her acting career started in the the mid 2000's, with a few appearances on television and in films. Other than The Big Bang Theory her other most acclaimed works include Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). She has also been featured in advertisements for major brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. Her daughter who lives in Los Angeles and is pursuing acting.
